Program Summary

KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction. KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare, and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.

Job Summary

Quality Manager whose technical expertise and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems will support the USAFE-AFAFRICA Base Operations Support (UA-BOS) Quality Program and its mission. The manager will optimize project execution by ensuring services meet the established quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quality control activities and supervise equipment specialists in logistics management and maintenance process improvements. Implement and monitor quality management policies and procedures to align with program objectives and prevent defects or errors in logistics and maintenance operations.
  • Maintain an ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with Statements of Work (SOW) and proper management of reports and related operations.
  • Analyze quality reports, identify adverse quality trends, conduct tracking/ trending of metrics, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, acting as the primary point of contact between them and daily program operations.
  • Advise senior management on quality assurance, maintenance management, and operational efficiency strategies.
  • Lead audits and inspections, presenting findings to leadership and recommending corrective or preventive actions to meet work condition requirements. Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to discover root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive process improvements.
  • Mentor and coach Quality team members, ensuring adherence to all administrative policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Align quality management functions with product and service performance needs to ensure that deliverables provide value to customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Possess a passport book with at least 6 months of remaining validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maintenance, Business, Quality Assurance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a quality supervisor or manager, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • 3+ years of experience related to ISO 9001/14001 programs or operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of corrective and preventive action, audit, and continuous improvement programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality and project management tools, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
