The VP Financial Planning & Analysis makes an impact by –
- Annual Plan & Forecasting
- Lead Company annual plan and quarterly forecast for the total Company P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
- Prepare business segment profitability
- Support team with quarterly deduction estimate updates including Trade Promotion, Slotting, Coupons and Unsalable items
- Monthly Sales Consensus alignment and communication
- Oversee Cash Flow forecasting understanding liquidity needs guiding decision making process on potential borrowings as well as vendor payments
- Customer and product level profitability
- Partner with Sales and to develop and update customer and product level P&Ls for forecasts ensuring profitability and appropriate levels of trade spend
- Responsible for integrating customer and product level P&Ls into our culture as a necessary tool for evaluating customer performance and effectively managing our resources towards improved profitability
- Incorporate customer and product level P&Ls into the decision-making process, including for new business opportunities
- Pricing Strategy
- Responsible for periodically evaluating pricing strategy and developing recommendations for enhancements
- Modeling Financial Impact of all pricing decisions by different characteristics such as customer, pack type, etc.
- Trade Spending
- Partner with Sales teams and Customer Development on the budgeting, forecasting and reporting of customer trade spending including promotions, slotting expense, coupons and allowances. Report on performance to Senior Management.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on processing trade expense from estimate to final payment, in close coordination with the accounting team
- Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines.
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems. Is accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Demonstrates knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology.
- Works effectively with department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.

- BS in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
- 12+ years of related, progressive experience
- Experience in the food industry manufacturing highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted
- Ability to lead and influence diverse, cross-functional teams
- Ability to help business teams create business objectives and then translate these into operations specific goals and programs.
- Ability to understand business activities with a view broader than just the finance function
- Ability to manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Considerable knowledge of computer programs, especially MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros, formulas) & ERP Systems. Ability to quickly navigate websites to retrieve data and data base manipulation skills
- Knowledge of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry norms and best practices in Operations Finance
- Position is required to be onsite, with potential for hybrid schedule 1-2 days a week at management discretion

- Ability to lift 20 pounds and/or push/pull 20 pounds on a regular or occasional basis
